Immigration Office Class I Special Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Batam,

“The first has the initials SKY from Malaysia and MRA from Singapore. So their permit limit has expired, but they are still in Batam," said Head of the Immigration Office Class I TPI Batam, Subki Miuldi in Batam, Monday, May 23.

Subki explained, SKY entered Batam since February 27, 2020 through the Batam Immigration Office using a Visit Visa Free (BVK). Meanwhile, MRA entered Batam since March 15, 2020 through Batam Immigration using BVK.

"Even though the stay permit period is only 30 days, they violate the residence permit that has been given," he said quoting Antara.

SKY passed the residence permit period of 593 days and MRA passed the residence permit period which was valid for 590 days from entering Batam.

"So if you count from entering until now, it's been a long time, it's been twice Lebaran," he said.

Henceforth, he said, the two of them would soon be repatriated to their respective countries after the filing process at Batam Immigration was completed.

“We have coordinated with the Malaysian and Singaporean embassies to provide them with travel documents. So we will immediately return them to their countries, for sure we will include these two foreigners on the block list (prevent and deter)," he said.
