Eddy Soeparno, Muannas: PAN Elite Sindir: Should Introspection, Accusing People Of Arbitrarily Blaspheming Religion

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the National Mandate Party (Sekjen PAN) Eddy Soeparno is undergoing investigation as a reporter for the alleged defamation case at Polda Metro Jaya today, Monday, May 23.

Eddy's investigation is related to the report that was submitted to Muannas Alaidid some time ago and registered with the number STTLP/B/2107/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated April 25, 2022.

On the examination, Muannas mocked Eddy and asked him to do more introspection.

"As a party leader, you should introspect, the older sister of the mayor of Tegal has been transferred to the KPK, then accuses people of blasphemy against religion," said Muannas through a tweet on his Twitter account, @muannas_alaidid, reported Monday, May 23.

According to Muannas, the reporting problem is actually simple. If the PAN elite deletes the tweet on Twitter, the business is finished. "Pdhl delete the tweet, the business is finished," said Muannas.

Eddy previously reported to Ade Armando's legal team, Muannas Alaidid. The story originally started when Eddy tweeted on his Twitter account about the initials AA as a religious blasphemer.

Muannas in his capacity as attorney for AA alias Ade Armando was allegedly named in Eddy's tweet for this tweet.

The Muannas report is related to defamation and is registered with the number LP/B/1990/IV/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA dated April 18, 2022. Not accepting Muannas' report, Eddy reported back with a complaint of alleged defamation.

Eddy said his tweet was just a form of aspiration or conveying views. Therefore, according to him, it is not defamation.

"I convey a message on social media that is part of the aspirations of the constituents that I channel. What are the aspirations of the constituents? That is the issue of law enforcement with justice," he said.
