JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government through the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (PPUKM) will select MSMEs that will be able to sell during the Formula E or Jakarta E-Prix 2022 event in Ancol on June 4.

Currently, the PPUKM Office has invited around 160 MSMEs. They will follow the curation before finally being filtered into 100 MSMEs who will later sell their respective products in the electric car race.

"We invite the best 160 MSMEs to participate in the curation, and they will be filtered again into the 100 best MSMEs to be able to sell their products at the Formula E Jakarta event on June 4," said Head of the PPUKM Service Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo in a statement, Monday, May 23.

"A total of 10 certified curators have also been prepared to select the best products from these SMEs," he continued.

Ratu explained that these 160 MSMEs were business actors assisted by the DKI Provincial Government in the Jakpreneur program or previously called OK OCE.

When they have passed the curation, these 100 MSMEs will open a booth using QRIS as the payment method. Ratu assessed that the use of digital payments would make transactions easier and monitor product sales turnover for each MSME in the Formula E event.

"With the Jakpreneur QRIS, we can monitor the development of the assisted SMEs, both per event and long term. So, they can make policies that are right on target according to the needs of MSMEs," explained Ratu.

Furthermore, as many as 100 MSMEs that will sell dry products such as chips and wet products such as soupy dishes will have a place to sell with complete facilities to serve Formula E audiences without being charged a rental fee.
