Golkar DPP Chairman Recalls Fahmi Idris: A Loyal Figure In The Nation's Struggle

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Golkar Party, Dave Laksono, assessed that senior politician Fahmi Idris is a figure who is loyal to the struggle of the nation and the welfare of the Indonesian people.

"He is a figure who is loyal to the nation's struggle for the welfare of the Indonesian people," said Dave Laksono to ANTARA in Jakarta, Sunday.

He said Fahmi Idris was a very humble figure who came from the movement for democratic progress and the nation's economic development.

In addition, according to him, Fahmi Idris is a senior politician who does not hesitate to share knowledge and guide his younger siblings in the Golkar Party.

"His sacrifice and contribution to the progress of the Indonesian nation is very significant. His passing will be deeply felt," he said.

Previously, former Minister of Industry and senior Golkar Party politician Fahmi Idris passed away on Sunday (21/5) at 10.00 western Indonesia time in the ICU of the Jakarta Medistra Hospital.

"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, has passed away with grace, Prof. Dr. H. Fahmi Idris bin Idris Marah Bagindo. Died at 10.00 western Indonesia time in the ICU of Medistra Hospital, Jakarta," said Fahira Idris on her official Twitter account, Sunday.

The body will stay at the funeral home on Mampang Prapatan IV Street Number 20, South Jakarta.
