UAS Supporters Demand The Singaporean Ambassador To Leave, This Is The Response Of The Polda Metro Jaya

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya said that the demands of the mass of supporters of Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS) who asked the Singaporean Ambassador to Indonesia to leave the country within 2×24 hours had legal consequences. Because, the act of forced eviction is called a violation of the rules.

"Of course, expelling by force is an act against the law, it can't be like that. We also don't want things like that to happen," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan when confirmed, Saturday, May 21.

Moreover, ambassadors who are representatives of other countries must be given protection. This is stated in international laws and regulations

Therefore, the masses of UAS supporters are also advised to continue to follow the applicable rules. So, solving the problem even then can use better ways.

"So, of course, we have to follow the applicable rules. Ambassadors are representatives of their countries here. Of course, the provisions in international law we must also follow and protect," said Zulpan.

"Polda Metro, of course, as a state apparatus maintains all the things that have been mandated in the law and government," he continued.

Apart from that, Zulpan also emphasized that the Singapore Embassy does not need to worry. Because the police will carry out security according to the rules.

"We have guarded and escorted all ambassadors in our country through the Pam VVIP Pamobvit sub-directorate of Polda Metro 24 hours. So there is no need to worry about the security and safety of ambassadors or ambassadors in our country," said Zulpan.

For information, the masses from Perisai held a demonstration in front of the Singapore Embassy, Friday, May 20 at around 13.00 WIB.

This demonstration was the result of the rejection of UAS when it was about to enter Singapore. In fact, the speaker was only intending a vacation.

During the demonstration, the masses demanded that the Singaporean ambassador be expelled from Indonesia. This is done if there is no apology to the Indonesian people within 2x24 hours.
