BEKASI - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) resumed road repair work on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road after the Lebaran homecoming season as the company's commitment to improve the safety and comfort of road users while increasing minimum service standards.

"During the repairs, there will be no road closures due to this work. Both directions of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road are still operating normally," said General Manager Representative Office 1 JTTRD Muhammad Taufik Akbar, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 20.

Taufik explained that the reconstruction work this time was carried out at three points of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. The first is on the outer shoulder of the Cikampek route at Kilometers (KM) 24+712 to KM 24+898 with a handling length of 144 meters.

"The rigid pavement reconstruction work at the first point is scheduled to start tomorrow at 10.00 WIB until Wednesday (25/5) at 12.00 WIB," he said.

The next work is to use the flexible pavement reconstruction method at KM 66+001 to KM 65+876 on a 125-meter 2-way Jakarta lane starting tomorrow at 20.00 WIB until Sunday (22/5) at 16.00 WIB.

Finally, the rigid pavement reconstruction will be at KM 33+203 to KM 33+041 on lane 1 of the Jakarta route with a handling length of 150 meters which will start Monday (23/5) at 10.00 WIB until Sunday (29/5) at 02.00 WIB.

Jasa Marga has prepared risk mitigation, including diverting affected traffic before the work area, narrowing the work area, preparing counter-trafficking schemes in case of heavy vehicle traffic conditions, and coordinating with the police.

Jasa Marga has also disseminated the work plan by installing outdoor media in the form of job warning banners and Variable Message Signs on both sections of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to ensure this information is well received by road users.

He apologized for the inconvenience caused by the work in question, while also urging road users to anticipate the trip by ensuring the vehicle is in top condition, has sufficient electronic money balance, and refuels before starting the trip.

"Always obey health protocols and travel requirements according to government regulations and be careful and obey signs, especially around work locations," said Taufik.
