KONI Grants In Dompu Regency, NTB Apparently Troubled, Witness One By One Goes To The KPK For Investigation

DOMPU - The Special Criminal Team of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office investigated the alleged misappropriation of the revolving grant funds at KONI, Dompu Regency.

The Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Sungarpin, said that at this stage his party was still collecting data and information from the parties related to the realization of the regional budget.

"Yes, so now a series of checks are being carried out," said Sungarpin in Mataram, Antara, Friday, May 20.

This is in accordance with observations at the NTB Prosecutor's Office. Former Chairman of the NTB Province KONI Andy Handianto was present to fulfill the summons of the prosecutor. He was present with two NTB Provincial KONI administrators in the field of treasurer.

"Yes, I will clarify what I know. I am accompanied by two colleagues from the NTB KONI management," said Andy.

He admitted that he did not know about the alleged misappropriation of grant funds that appeared at the Dompu Regency KONI. "I don't understand the Dompu issue. Just because I was asked to give a statement, so I attended," he said.

In his statement to the Attorney General's Office, Andy admitted that he had explained the realization of fund management at KONI.

"Yes, I say that KONI carries out its duties in accordance with the articles of association and by-laws," he said

He ensured that the KONI of the Province of NTB and the KONI of the Regency of Dompu did not intersect about the budget.

"Dompu reported that the grant funds to NTB did not exist. There was nothing to do with it. Because he (KONI of Dompu Regency) received a budget from the regent or district. So the responsibility is directly to the regent," said Andy.

Allegations of misappropriation of grant funds flowing to KONI of Dompu Regency emerged in 2018-2021. The amount of grant funds flowing in the last four years is estimated to be in the billions of rupiah.
