Corruption In CPO Exports, Jampidsus Reveals Director General Of Daglu Who Played A Role In Bringing Lin Che Wei To The Ministry Of Trade

JAKARTA - Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office, Febrie Adriansyah, said that Lin Che Wei (LCW) was brought by the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade, Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana to the Ministry of Trade.

Lin Che Wei is a consultant who helped determine the DMO policy at the Ministry of Commerce and got three CPO producing companies to get export approvals that violate the rules.

"Until now (who brought) it is still Vishnu," said Adriansyah, at the Attorney General's Office, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, May 19.

Lin Che Wei, an economist, is known to have been at the Ministry of Commerce since January 2022 and he is active in important meetings including the DMO policy.

However, the position or structure within the Ministry of Trade is not yet known. "There is nothing (in the structure), it has been checked with the children, the structure is unknown," he said.

Wardhana is a suspect who has been previously determined along with three other suspects from the private sector.

The three suspects are Commissioner of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, Master Parulian Tumanggor, Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs of PT Pelita Agung Agrindustri/Permata Hijau Group, Stanley MA, and General Manager of General Affairs Section of PT Musim Mas, Picare Tagore Sitanggang.

Then is Lin alias Weibinanto Halimjati, as a policy/analysis advisor at PT Independent Research & Advisory Indonesia.

Lin's role in this case was, together with Wardhana, in providing export approval (PE) permits to several companies. Lin is also an analyst for the three companies named as suspects. It is suspected that he gave some funds to Wardana to issue PEs for the three companies.

However, Adriansyah has not mentioned the amount of Lin's funds to Wardhana. "Not yet detailed, the accumulation," he said.

Previously, the Attorney General, Sanitiar Burhanuddin, revealed Lin's role as an assisted party at the Ministry of Trade, participating in every important meeting including formulating DMO policies.

"He (Lin) is a private person, but his (Ministry of Trade) policy is very well heard by his director general," said Burhanuddin in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (18/5).

Prior to joining the Ministry of Trade, Lin worked as an assistant team at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy under the leadership of Airlangga Hartanto until March 2022.
