Burned In A Barrel, How To Catch A Hammer, Destroy Evidence Of Marijuana, Gorilla Tobacco, Up To 27 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine

PALU - The Palu District Attorney's Office (Kejari) destroyed 2.7 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine on Thursday, May 19. The methamphetamine is evidence from 138 cases of narcotics crime in Palu City.

The destruction was carried out in the yard of the Palu Kejari Office which was led directly by the Head of the Palu Kajari, Hartawi.

"The narcotics evidence comes from 138 narcotics cases and 11 other general criminal cases," Hartawi said in Palu, quoted from Antara, Thursday, May 19.

In addition to methamphetamine, evidence of other narcotics crimes, such as gorilla tobacco, marijuana and THD drugs, and the proceeds of other general criminal cases including sharp weapons, laptops and cell phones were also destroyed.

"The destruction of the evidence is based on the decision of the local District Court which has permanent legal force and the Palu Kajari order," he explained.

The destruction of the evidence is carried out in two ways. For evidence of narcotics such as methamphetamine, gorilla tobacco, gayo tobacco, marijuana as well as drugs and cosmetics, it is carried out by putting it in an iron barrel and then burning it so that it is not normally consumed again.

Then for evidence such as laptops, cell phones, digital scales and sharp weapons, they are destroyed by hitting them with a hammer and cutting them by grinding them.

"People, especially the younger generation, should stay away from narcotics, because they can have a tremendous impact, endanger lives and become dependent," Hartawi said.
