Attorney General Asks Investigators To Focus On Corruption Proof Of CPO Export Permits 3 Companies Including PT Wilmar Nabati

JAKARTA - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin asked the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) and the investigative team to focus on proving the case for granting export approval (PE) of CPO to three companies, namely PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, PT Permata Hijau Group and PT Musim Mas.

"We emphasize to the investigative team to accelerate the filing so that the examination is focused on proving the perpetrators who have been designated as suspects so that there is no need to summon parties who are not related to the case," said the Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) at the Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana in a statement. written quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 18.

Jampidsus investigators have named five suspects in this case, namely the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade (Dirjen Daglu) Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana.

Then, Master Parulian Tumanggor as Commissioner of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, Stanley MA as Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs of PT Pelita Agung Agrindustri/Permata Hijau Group and Picare Tagore Sitanggang as General Manager of the General Affairs Section of PT Musim Mas.

The fifth suspect, who was named on Tuesday (17/5) yesterday, was named Lin Che Wei, an economist who is known to have collaborated with suspect Indrasari Wisnu Wardhan in issuing export approvals (PE) to three CPO producers.

Ketut said the investigation team was still focused on examining the three companies that received the export facilities.

At the time of the release of the determination of the four suspects on Tuesday (19/4), it was mentioned that one company also obtained a PE permit with PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, namely PT Multimas Nabati Asahan so that a total of four companies were suspected of being involved.

But now, the Attorney General has ordered investigators to focus on proving the case against the three companies.

"This statement is not an official statement from the Attorney General's Office so that the news is not biased and obscures the substance of the case being handled," said Ketut.

Separately, the Director of Investigations at Jampidsus Supardi said that his party had just obtained facts about the involvement of three companies that had been named suspects. This does not mean that the company whose name has been mentioned does not have evidence of its involvement.

"In fact, 3 companies have only just obtained it, so we are looking for it first, whether he (another company) is also related," said Supardi.

Lin Che Wei became a consultant in the three companies named as suspects, which obtained CPO export PE without fulfilling the 20 percent domestic supply obligation (DMO).

Investigators are currently investigating the alleged bribery of Lin Che Wei to the Director General of Dalgu, the Ministry of Trade, who had issued PE permits for the 3 companies.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, it resulted in state economic losses, namely the expensiveness and scarcity of cooking oil, resulting in a decrease in household consumption and small industries that use cooking oil and complicate people's lives.
