JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (Dinas LH) has finally imposed sanctions on the owner of a truck transporting human waste, which went viral on Instagram social media for dumping waste into waterways on Jalan Ahmad Yani, Matraman, East Jakarta.

"Regarding the faecal car (which went viral) on Instagram yesterday, we have searched and found it belongs to one of the faeces base," said Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service (Dinas LH), Yogi when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, May 18.

After knowing the whereabouts of the truck, his party immediately gave a fine from the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency.

"They have been arrested and fined (the perpetrators of indiscriminate waste disposal). Violators are subject to a penalty of Rp. 500 thousand," he said.

Yogi said that the sanction was a follow-up to the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency regarding public complaints through social media.

"Immediately, the public's complaints were followed up on vehicles transporting feces containing waste on Jalan Ahmad Yani Bypass, Matraman, East Jakarta," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a yellow truck carrying human waste was found to be dumping fecal waste into a water channel on the side of Jalan Ahmad Yani, Bypass, Matraman District, East Jakarta.

Local residents who knew about the action immediately captured it via cellphone and spread it on social media.

Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (Dinas LH), Yogi explained, it should be in accordance with existing regulations that cars providing services for desludging human waste must be disposed of to treatment under PD PAL.
