Djarot Saiful Hidayat PDIP: Heru Budi Hartono Suitable As Acting Governor Of DKI Jakarta

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat said the name of the Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Heru Budi Hartono was suitable to be the Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta. He said Heru had a lot of work experience and was considered nurturing.

"Pak Heru, I think, in my opinion, if he was proposed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, right, suggesting that the Ministry of Home Affairs choose the president would be appropriate," Djarot told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, May 18.

Djarot said he knew a number of figures who were predicted to serve as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, such as Heru Budi Hartono, Secretary of DKI Marullah Matali, and Juri Ardiantoro, Chair of the Regional General Election Commission of DKI Jakarta Province for the period 2008-2013. However, personally, Djarot prefers Heru to be a suitable candidate to fill the position left by Anies Baswedan.

Moreover, Heru has a number of qualified work experiences to lead a region. "He once led the North Jakarta Mayoral area including (during the implementation, ed) the Pluit reservoir revitalization, he was the mayor at that time," said Djarot.

In addition, Heru is also considered to have held other positions and was successful. "He is a hard worker, tireless, and full. So he can be nurturing. I think Pak Heru is suitable (to be the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, ed)," he said.

For information, 272 regional heads in Indonesia will expire in the near future. Later, they will be replaced by officials until the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) which will be held in 2024.

Meanwhile, some time ago, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, appointed five acting governors on Thursday, May 12 at his office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara. Those appointed are:

1. Banten Regional Secretary Al Muktabar who became the Acting Governor of Banten

2. Director General of Regional Autonomy (Otda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Akmal Malik who became Acting Governor of West Sulawesi

3. Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ridwan Djamaluddin who became Acting Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands

4. Expert Staff for Sportivity Culture of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Hamka Hendra Noer who will be inaugurated as Acting Governor of Gorontalo

5. Komjen (Ret.) Paulus Waterpauw who now serves as Deputy for Management of Potential Border Areas at the BNPP Ministry of Home Affairs as Acting Governor of West Papua.
