Members Of The Indonesian Armed Forces Together With Ojol, Arrest Women's Cellphones In Front Of Bank BCA Koja

JAKARTA - Members of the 0502 North Jakarta Military District Command, Second Sergeant Bambang Dwi, as the Village Development Officer (Babinsa) of South Tugu Sub-District, arrested a jambret. The victim was Meylan Fentty Masambe, a housewife from Koja, North Jakarta.

According to information, the robbery took place on Jalan Haji Tiung, RW 03, Tugu Selatan Village, Koja District, North Jakarta, Tuesday afternoon, May 17. Precisely in front of Bank BCA.

At that time, Meylan screamed when her cellphone was seized by the perpetrator. The screams of the victim were finally heard by Serda Bambang Dwi and a number of local residents, including online motorcycle taxi drivers around the location.

"So there were women from the BCA office on the phone again, and then there were two people on motorbikes riding in the same boat and snatched their cellphones," said Serda Bambang.

Not only taking cell phones, the perpetrators were also involved in tug-of-war with the victim to defend his bag.

Seeing the crowd, Bambang, who was patrolling around the location, got off his motorbike and followed the perpetrators.

The bag snatching action was not carried out because the perpetrators fled using motorbikes to Jalan H Tiung. However, the suspect's vehicle was stuck in traffic. The two perpetrators left their motorbikes and tried to run away.

On the other hand, Bambang assisted by an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) arrested one of the perpetrators who played a role in taking the victim's cellphone. The other perpetrator fled.

"The perpetrator is still young, about 18 years old, the other one whose identity is not known, immediately fled," said Bambang.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the victim's cell phone and the motorbike used when carrying out the action were found. The evidence and the perpetrators were immediately handed over to the Koja Police for further processing.
