Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto Gives A Special Gift For Rhoma Irama

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, gave a special gift to the King of Dangdut, Rhoma Irama. The Indonesian dangdut legend, who has been known for his stump guitar, received a special guitar "head" from Airlangga.

"We give this a special gift to complete Bang Haji. This is his head. Because so far the guitar has been stump, so we'll complete the head," said Airlangga, during a visit to the Sonnet Record Studio, in Depok, Tuesday, May 17.

Airlangga gave this special guitar head as a symbol to complement Rhoma's guitar. The founder of the Ideal Party also received a special guitar head from Airlangga with pleasure.

According to Airlangga, this guitar head symbolizes that life should not be interrupted. Also, there must be continuity.

"This is full of meaning. Life must be whole, it should not be cut into pieces. Now this is the symbol," said Airlangga while pointing at the guitar head given to Rhoma Irama.

During the meeting at the Sonnet studio, Airlangga in particular also showed a t-shirt with a picture of Rhoma Irama with the words FORSA or Fans of Rhoma and Sonnet in it, which indicated that the Coordinating Minister for the Economy of the Republic of Indonesia was also a fan of the King of Dangdut and the Sonnet Group.

Airlangga and Rhoma Irama's relationship has grown closer since the dancer, who is familiarly called Bang Haji, returned to the Golkar Party. Rhoma once attended an iftar event with PPK Kosgoro on April 25 which was also attended by Airlangga.

Rhoma also welcomed Airlangga's sincerity with a close position as well as signifying the close relationship that was built between the King of Dangdut and Airlangga who was nominated for president in the 2024 presidential election by the Golkar Party.
