Living In A Classy Apartment, Marketing Personnel Found Dead Hanging Himself Due To Debt

JAKARTA - A man was found dead with his neck hanging from an emergency staircase on the 9th floor, Casablanca East Residence Apartment, Jalan Pahlawan Revolution No. 2, Tower Dallas, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Monday, May 16.

It was later discovered that the motive of the victim, with the initials RP, was desperate to end his life, allegedly due to debt problems. The victim is a resident of the Casablanca apartment.

The victim's body was first discovered by a janitor who was in charge of cleaning all parts of the apartment.

"The person hanged himself, at around 09.30 the office boy was working on the 8th floor and went to the 9th floor via the emergency stairs. The witness saw that the victim had hanged himself and died," said Head of Sabhara Polsek Duren Sawit AKP Agus Kristiono to reporters.

When first found, the cleaners were shocked and reported it to the apartment security officer. The report is then forwarded to the police.

"The statement from the wife is probably due to debts, so she is desperate or something," he said.

After identifying the victim's body, the body was then taken to the RSCM for an autopsy.

"The victim has 4 children, her job is marketing," he said.

While the case is still under investigation by the Duren Sawit Police.

However, it was confirmed separately, the Head of the Duren Sawit Police, Kompol Martson Marbun, was reluctant to explain in detail the motive for the victim's reckless suicide. When confirmed the issue of online gambling which is suspected to be the cause of death, the police chief did not know.
