Police Arrest Aden's Killer Who Disguised As Tarzan On Mount Walat Sukabumi, Romance Problems At The Base Of Problems

SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi Police Satreskrim arrested a young man with the initials RR alias Aden (30), as a suspect in the murder in Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

The suspect was arrested at around 14.00 WIB while hiding in Gunung Walat, Cibadak District, and tried to trick the police by disguised as Tarzan's character by using long wigs.

"We arrested the suspect in Gunung Walat on Monday. From the location we found a number of evidences, namely a knife to kill the life of a widow who was his lover, a cap, and a long wig that was used by the perpetrators to trick the officers who were hunting him," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Resort Police. Based on the information gathered by the police, the suspect was desperate to kill his girlfriend with the initials SUK (33) because the victim was suspected of getting back together with her ex-husband.

Suspect RR, who has been in love with SUK for four months, felt disapproved and approached the victim at his home on Thursday (12/5). At that time, a verbal argument broke out which resulted in RR stabbing SUK several times in several parts of his body with a knife that had been prepared in advance.

The victim immediately lay on the terrace of his house, while the suspect fled towards Mount Walat according to the testimony of witnesses. Residents who saw SUK in a seriously injured condition immediately took the victim to the Sekarwangi Hospital, Cibadak. However, the victim's life could not be saved and died on Friday (13/5).

Cibadak Police personnel who received information related to the murder case then coordinated with the Sukabumi Police Satreskrim to develop the case and hunt down the suspect.

"The motive of the suspect, who is a resident of Karangtengah Village, Cibadak District, was desperate to kill his lover because of romance, where the perpetrator did not accept that the lover, who had only been dating for four months, was reconciled," said Hermawan.

As a result of these actions, RR was charged with Article 338 concerning the Crime of Murder and or Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning the Crime of Premeditated Murder, with a maximum threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 20 years to life.
