SURABAYA - As many as four people who died in the single accident incident on the "Ardiansyah" bus on the Surabaya-Mojokerto (Sumo) Toll Road, East Java, were buried in one grave, Monday night.

"On behalf of the family, we apologize to all of them. We also thank the residents who have helped until the funeral process is complete," said the uncle of one of the victims, Joko Muslim, when met at the Benowo Islamic Cemetery, Surabaya, as reported by Antara, Monday, 16 May.

Joko Muslim is the uncle of Sony Suprayitno, a resident of Jalan Benowo II who was also one of the victims who died in the incident.

Sony was buried with his wife, Titis Hermi and their two children, namely Steven Arthur and Stevani Grasio.

"Another daughter from Sony, namely Pella Patricia. She is now in hospital and we ask for prayers for a speedy recovery," he said.

Based on data from the police, Pella Patricia is currently being treated at the Petrokimia Gresik Hospital along with two other injured victims, respectively Septian Adi and Cipto Parogo.

Joko admitted that it was very hard to accept this fact, but he surrendered and accepted the test from Allah SWT.

Joko last met Sony and his family during Eid al-Fitr, early May 2022 and at that time there was no inkling of anything.

The Camat of Pakal Tranggono Wahyu Wibowo informed that all 14 people who died were residents who lived in the area.

By Monday afternoon until evening, he said, all the victims had been buried.

"There are 13 people who were buried in the Pakal area, then another person was buried at his family's residence in the Kedamean area, Gresik," he said.

Tranggono explained that his residents left for a tour to Yogyakarta on Saturday (14/5) night and planned to arrive at their respective homes on Monday morning.
