Police Release Large Vehicles To Jakarta At GT Palimanan 4

CIREBON - Cirebon Police Traffic Unit, West Java, issued a large vehicle heading to Jakarta at the Palimanan 4 Toll Gate (GT) to go through the arterial route, to anticipate congestion on the toll road.

"For the third axis and above, we will switch it to the arterial route," said Head of Subunit Turjawali of Cirebon Police Satlantas Ipda Asep Dedi, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 16.

Asep said the diversion of large vehicles or the third axle to the top via the north coast arterial route, was due to traffic conditions on toll roads that increased during the long holiday weekend.

Moreover, at this time, continued Asep, vehicles heading to Jakarta have been observed to be crowded, so the Police Headquarters has instructed that large vehicles be removed to the arterial route.

According to him, the traffic engineering does not apply to large vehicles carrying basic needs such as fuel oil (BBM), fertilizers, drinking water and others.

"The long holiday has resulted in a lively trip from Central Java to Jakarta, for that we will shift the third axis to the top starting at 15.00 WIB," he said.

He said the traffic engineering will take effect on Monday (16/5) starting at 15.00 WIB, until the flow of vehicles heading to Jakarta is normal.

For that, said Asep, every large vehicle that crosses the Top Palimanan-Kanci (Palikanci) route and will lead to the Cipali route is issued at GT Palimanan 4 and then proceeds to the north coast artery route.

"For the implementation, look at the situation on the ground, when the flow returns to normal as usual, we will stop it," he said.
