The Mayor Of Mojokerto Ensures That The Victims Of The Deadly Bus Accident On The Sumo Toll Road Get Optimal Treatment

MOJOKERTO - The Mayor of Mojokerto, East Java, Ika Puspitasari, has ensured that victims of the tourism bus accident at KM 712+400 line A of the Surabaya-Mojokerto toll road get optimal treatment.

"We as the owners of the Mojokerto City Regional General Hospital carry out the processes needed by all victims, both those who died and those who are currently being treated," he said in Mojokerto, Monday, May 16.

The deadly accident at KM 712+400 Surabaya-Mojokerto Toll Road resulted in 14 deaths and dozens of injuries.

Ika said the Mojokerto City Government coordinated with the Surabaya City Government because all the victims of the accident were residents of the City of Surabaya.

"So, quick efforts can be made regarding the repatriation of the bodies to their respective funeral homes," said Ning Ita, who is familiarly called the Mayor of Mojokerto.

Ika said the Mojokerto City Government had prepared a number of ambulance fleets to help if there was a shortage following the Surabaya City Government had sent five ambulance units to repatriate the bodies of accident victims.

"The Surabaya City Government has sent five ambulance units for the repatriation of the bodies and we from Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Hospital have also provided them. Our entire fleet is also ready to be used, so together we help so that the repatriation process does not take too long," he said.

When asked about administrative matters, Walkot Mojokerto said that he would prioritize the handling of victims first before coordinating with the administration.

"Regarding the administration, I think it can be coordinated because this is an accident. I make sure here we handle the victims first, and we will coordinate the administrative matters here," he said.

The Ardiansyah bus accident with police number S-7322-UW at KM 712+400 line A Toll Surabaya - Mojokerto, East Java on Monday morning at 06.15 WIB resulted in 14 deaths and dozens of injuries.
