Khofifah Asked ASN East Java Provincial Government To Participate In Preventing Hoaxes On The Job Creation Law

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa asked the ranks of the state civil apparatus (ASN) to participate in counteracting hoaxes and conveying a constructive narrative about the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law. This step is necessary because Khofifah sees a lot of counterproductive narratives, especially on social media.

According to him, many of these narratives were conveyed massively and quickly on social media and were made by irresponsible people with the aim of making noise and dividing.

"Convey messages that create a conducive atmosphere full of peace to the community. Then, when someone uploads it and turns out to be counterproductive, I ask all of you to clarify and straighten it," said Khofifah in a written statement after conducting a coordination meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD and the Coordinating Minister Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Wednesday, October 14.

In addition, he asked all levels of the Regency / City Manpower Office (Disnaker) in East Java to fully and thoroughly understand the Job Creation Law which was just passed on Monday, October 5.

By understanding this law properly, it is hoped that they will be able to convey it correctly to the public. In addition, in the future the East Java Provincial Government will also form a team from various elements to study and disseminate the law.

"The provincial government will form a team from various strategic elements to study, understand and socialize the Job Creation Law," he said.

"I hope the regencies / cities can balance this law so that it is fully understood, not fragmented, and ultimately biased," he added.

Khofifah said that the Job Creation Law really needs to be well understood. The PKB politician even admitted that he was currently still studying the law, especially articles that were considered controversial.

In fact, Khofifah said that she regularly coordinates with the Coordinating Minister for the Economy to obtain detailed explanations for articles by article.

"Let's discuss it together, we invite experts who understand its content and essence, then we will disseminate it comprehensively," he said.

He also hoped that apart from ASN, academics, community leaders, labor representatives and students could also socialize.

"The hope is that there will be more elements of society who can help socialize the Job Creation Law after analyzing and understanding it comprehensively, it will be more significant to reduce disputes and explain the details between the correct narrative and the hoax narrative," he concluded.
