BATAM - The Batam Class I Port Health Office (KKP) confirmed that three crew members of a type DA62 calibration aircraft from Johor, Malaysia who crossed the territory of the Republic of Indonesia without a permit, were negative for COVID-19.

"The three have carried out a PCR test and the results of the three PCR tests have tested negative for COVID-19", said Head of Batam Class I KKP, Achmad Farchany, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 14.

Apart from being tested negative for COVID-19, Farchany also said that the three crew members who violated the permit to enter Indonesian territory without a permit had already received booster vaccines.

In addition to the PCR test and booster vaccine, the Head of the Hang Nadim Airbase Operations Service, Major Lek Wardoyo, explained that the three also had no other medical problems.

"There is also no consumption of alcohol and drugs during flights, all are safe, all are negative", said Wardoyo.

Wardoyo said that the three were temporarily detained because of licensing issues.

"So they don't have flight clearance and flight approval in Indonesian territory", said Wardoyo.
