Cases Of Bloody Clashes In Sugarcane Land, Members Of The Indramayu DPRD From The Democratic Faction Sued 12 Years In Prison

INDARAMAYU - The Public Court Public Prosecutor (PN) Indramayu demanded that the defendant Taryadi be sentenced to 12 years in prison for the bloody clashes on sugar cane fields belonging to PG Jati Tujuh. Taryadi is a member of the Indramayu DPRD from the Democratic Faction.

The bloody clash case involving Taryadi killed two sugarcane farmers.

"(Requesting the panel of judges) to impose (imprisonment) on defendant Taryadi Bin Dawud for 12 years, minus the period of detention currently being served," said the Public Prosecutor's Team when reading out the demands for the bloody clashes case at the Indramayu District Court, confiscated from Antara, Thursday 12 May.

The public prosecutor charged Taryadi with the allegation of Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code, Article 170 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code, Article 160 of the Criminal Code and Article 107 letter a in conjunction with Law No. 39 of 2014 concerning Plantations.

The trial for this criminal case was carried out virtually. Chaired by Chief Judge Yogi Dulhadi, Member Judge I Ade Satriawan, and Member Judge II Ade Yusuf.

Although it was done virtually, 18 sympathizers from the defendant Taryadi were present at the Indramayu District Court. Meanwhile, 32 other people also witnessed the trial.
