Declaration Proposal Becomes Evidence Of The Arrest Of US Members Of Medan

JAKARTA - The National Police Criminal Investigation Unit has described some evidence in the determination of four members of the Medan Coalition to Save Indonesia (WE) as suspects for spreading hate speech and incitement.

Karo Penmas, Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, said that one of the pieces of evidence was the declaration proposal.

"One of the proofs of the WE declaration proposal in Medan," Awi told reporters, Tuesday, October 13.

However, Awi did not explain the details of the proposal. Including the reasons behind the proposal as evidence.

Awi only mentioned that four people, Juliana, Devi, Wahyu Rasari Putri, and Khairi Amri, had been detained and named as suspects.

"All those from Medan have already been detained," he said.

Previously it was reported, Bareskrim Polri named five suspects who allegedly spread hate speech and incitement related to demonstrations against the Job Creation Law. Those named as suspects are the majority members of the Coalition for the Action to Save Indonesia (WE).

Four of the suspects were arrested in Medan. They are US members, including Juliana, Devi, Wahyu Rasari Putri, and Khairi Amri. As for one other person, a former PKS legislative member candidate, Kingkin Anida.
