JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo monitors the condition of the Head of the Resmob Ditreskrimum of the Jambi Police, AKP Johan C Silaen after the incident and the operation to remove the spear that hit his stomach.

Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the Jambi Police Kombes Kaswandi Irwan said the Jambi Police Chief and other officials were also waiting for the operation process to confirm Silaen's condition.

For now, the incident experienced by the Head of Resmob, Directorate of General Criminal Investigation at the Jambi Police, AKP Silaen, has received serious attention from the police leadership.

Earlier on Tuesday, Silaen had to be rushed to Raden Mattaher Jambi Regional Hospital, after being stabbed during the arrest of a fugitive named Taufik Hardiyansah alias Taufik Galing (32).

The perpetrator was immediately paralyzed with a shot in the body until the perpetrator died on the spot.

After undergoing surgery to remove the spear, he is now conscious. This Wednesday AKP Silaen was immediately transferred from Raden Mattaer Hospital to Bhayangkara Jambi Hospital to undergo further treatment.

"We thank the Raden Mattaher Hospital for handling it quickly, so that worrying things can be overcome," Kaswandi said in Jambi, Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

Kaswandi explained that the spear used by the suspect was 118 cm in diameter. The spear is known to be rusty.

The wound on AKP Silaen's body was about five to six centimeters to his left abdomen and what the doctors feared was that the spear was medically rusty.

The head of the Jambi Bhayangkara Hospital AKBP Yandiko also did not forget to thank the resmob members who had moved quickly to bring AKP Silaen to Raden Mattaher Hospital.

"After receiving information that Mr. Silaen was already in the ER, Mr. Kapolda and the main officials at the Jambi Regional Police participated in direct monitoring. Because we wanted to evacuate to Bhayangkara Hospital, we were afraid of increasing the risk, so we carried out an overnight operation at the Raden Mattaher General Hospital, including I am also part of the operation team," he said.

AKP Silaen's condition at the time of the spear operation injured his vital organs. "During the operation his vital signs were stable, then we observed for a day and this morning we confirmed that his condition could be transferred to Bhayangkara Hospital," he also said.

Currently, the condition of AKP Silaen is still under observation in the ICU room at Bhayangkara Hospital in an improving condition. If there are no more complaints tomorrow, AKP Silaen will be able to be transferred to a regular treatment room.

"Currently, AKP Silaen has been able to communicate, so after he wakes up, AKP Silaen can communicate, only when he has not eaten," said Kombes Pol Kaswandi Irwan.
