Jokowi's Plan To Meet Elon Musk Is Blasphemed By Kadrun, Social Media Activist: When Anies Begs For Furniture And Meets Rizieq Shihab Is He Silent?

JAKARTA - Social media activist Chusnul Chotimah did not accept the group's assessment that he called Kadrun to blaspheme President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)'s plan to meet the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk.

According to him, Kadrun showed a different attitude when the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan met with Rizieq Shihab who returned to the country after three years living in Saudi Arabia. Chusnul said that at that time Kadrun did not comment at all.

Rizieq, who was then the High Priest of the FPI, moved to Saudi Arabia when he stumbled upon pornography and insulting Pancasila in April 2017. Rizieq arrived in Indonesia in November 2020,

"When Anies was begging for furniture to ambassadors of other countries, when Anies met Rizieq who had just returned from a run for years because of a pornography case, Kadrun kept quiet," he said via Twitter account @ChusnulCh__, Wednesday, May 11.

Chusnul assessed that the difference in attitude showed that Kadrun did not want Indonesia to progress. They do not consider this country to have authority when viewed by other countries.

"So let Kadrun sneer about Jokowi meeting Elon Musk, they don't want this country to progress, it's not about authority, shame and others," he said.

Jokowi is known to have planned to meet Elon Musk on the sidelines of his working visit to the United States (US). Citing Reuters, the meeting is planned to discuss the nickel industry, which is one of the raw materials for electric vehicle batteries.

Prior to the planned meeting, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, had previously met Elon Musk in Texas, USA, some time ago.

Luhut said his meeting with Elon was warm. He said, Elon seemed interested in Indonesia's natural resources that could support the electric vehicle industry, especially the Tesla company.

"It was most comforting for me when Elon Musk conveyed the reason for his interest in this collaboration, namely because of my exposure to the huge potential of the Nickel Industry in Indonesia," Luhut wrote on his Instagram account.
