SOLO - The Surakarta City Health Office (DKK) has alerted health facilities to anticipate a spike in COVID-19 cases after Eid 2022.

Head of Surakarta DKK Siti Wahyuningsih said that it was not only health facilities that were ensured, but also health workers and medical equipment.

"All of our health facilities are ready, health workers are ready, beds are ready, medicines are ready, it's just a matter of how people continue to apply health protocols," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

He said anticipation was not only done for COVID-19 but also for other diseases.

He said to anticipate the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Surakarta City Government had accelerated vaccination since before Eid. Related to this, he said, the acceleration is still being carried out, especially for booster vaccination.

"If you want to go fast, let's go. The important thing is that it still has to be done, even though it's been vaccinated, if the progress is not good, it's the same," he said.

Meanwhile, related to the rate of COVID-19 cases in Solo, he said, recently there have been low cases, namely three active cases who are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
