JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan revealed a case of attempted robbery of members of the Army from the Yonarhanud 10/ABC Kodam Jaya unit, carried out by a group of teenage boys. In fact, of the 9 perpetrators, 3 of them are still minors.

Zulpan said the nine robbers had the initials MRH (20), MRM (19), RM (24), NB (16), FR (17), TP (21), MAH (15), AM (19) and R ( 19).

"There are 9 suspects who have been named. Of these 9, 6 are adults and then 3 are minors," Zulpan said when he told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday, May 10.

Zulpan said the robbery took place on Jalan Bumi, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday, May 7, at 05.00 WIB. The perpetrator, continued Zulpan, before strangling two TNI members, held a liquor party (alcohol) in the Bulungan area, South Jakara.

"After they consumed liquor, the perpetrators went around using motorbikes. Then they saw the victim was using a red Mio motorbike," he said.

Not long after, Zulpan said, the perpetrators approached the victim pretending to ask for cigarettes to smooth out his confiscation. Not long after, one of the perpetrators threw a stone at the victim.

"They approached the mode of asking for cigarettes and then another perpetrator threw a paving block but it didn't hit the victim," he said.

After throwing stones, the victim fought back until the perpetrators fled.

"The victim fought back, so the perpetrators tried to run away. But in an attempt to escape, the victim was chased and managed to catch 1 of the 4 motorcycles that ran. Then fell, one person was arrested," said Zulpan.

After being arrested, the perpetrators were handed over to the police until they were developed and managed to catch the other 9 perpetrators.

For his actions, the 9 perpetrators were charged with Article 53 of the Criminal Code jo 365 regarding theft with violence with a threat of 9 years in prison.
