BATANG - The Regent of Batang Wihaji apologized and was able to properly end his term of office to the state civil apparatus (ASN) on the first day of work after the 2022 Eid holiday.

"For 5 years less than 13 days, I and the Deputy Regent Suyono, have worked optimally with the assistance of the ASN. Maybe there is an inappropriate expression of my words and offends, so on the occasion of this month of Shawwal, I, on behalf of myself and my family, apologize as big as it is," he said in Batang, Central Java, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 9.

According to him, he and Deputy Regent Suyono will end their tenure as Batang Regent on May 22, 2022.

"Our term of office is less than 13 days, and I and the Deputy Regent Suyono ask for prayers so that we can end our position with husnulkhatimah. In addition, let's pray for each other so that we can be istikamah in carrying out our obligations," he said.

The Golkar Party politician revealed that for the next 2 years, the position of regent will be held by the acting regent (Pj) appointed by the Governor of Central Java in accordance with the regulations. Therefore, he said, he invites ASN to work well, whoever will lead in each regional apparatus organization as well as the acting regent.

"Although the position of regent is held by the acting regent, I believe that all his intentions are good to build the Batang Regency more advanced," said Regent Wihaji.

He advised all state civil servants to work smartly, work thoroughly, and work only to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT.

"Believe me, if ASN work with good intentions, it will be good. Because ASN has a measurable honorarium, it must be grateful for it, but if you always feel lacking, there will always be less and not enough," he said.
