Hajj Season 2022, Mataram Gets Quota 401 Prospective Hajj Pilgrims

NTB - Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province, received a quota of 401 hajj candidates for the departure of hajj pilgrims in 2022.

Head of the Mataram City Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) HM Amin said, as many as 401 Hajj candidates who entered the 2022 departure quota had passed verification from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion.

"A total of 401 hajj candidates will depart with a maximum age of 65 years and the youngest 25 years old," he said in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 9.

According to him, the number of Hajj candidates for the City of Mataram 2020 whose departures were twice postponed was 731 people. However, from the results of the verification of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Mataram received a quota of 401 out of a total quota of 2,042 people in NTB.

"Alhamdulillah, more than 50 percent of the Mataram pilgrims will depart for Hajj," he said.

He said the stage that would be carried out at this time was to convey to prospective hajj pilgrims whose names were included in the 2022 departure quota, to immediately pay off the Hajj Organizing Fee (BPIH) of around Rp. 41 million.

"This amount has increased from the 2020 BPIH of around Rp. 38 million," he said. Thus, he said, for pilgrims who have already withdrawn the repayment fee, they just need to confirm with their respective banks for payment and repayment.

Meanwhile, congregants who do not collect a payment fee are asked to come and report to the Mataram Ministry of Religion Office and make a cover letter for the proposal to their respective banks.

"Those who do not take repayment fees, just add what is not in accordance with the 2022 BPIH," he said.

Payment of BPIH can be done until May 20, 2022. If there are pilgrims who do not pay off to this limit, they will be replaced by pilgrims who are included in the reserve list that has been prepared as many as 74 people.

"Hopefully the implementation of the 2022 hajj or the first hajj in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic can run smoothly and successfully, so that in the future the departure quota can return to normal," he hoped.
