BADUNG - The joint SAR team evacuated the bodies floating in the waters of Atuh Beach, Nusa Penida, Klungkung Regency, Bali.

The body is known as Made Rajeg (65) who lives in Banjar Pelilit, Pejukutan Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung.

The head of the Bali Basarnas Office said that initial information received by the Denpasar Search and Rescue office, on Sunday, May 8, stated that eyewitnesses had seen a floating corpse.

"The witness saw that from the top of the cliff towards the beach there was a body at around 5 pm," said Darmada, Monday, May 9.

Four personnel in the Nusa Penida SAR standby unit rushed to the location. But until Sunday, May 8 evening, the team was unable to evacuate the bodies.

The search continued this morning. The body was found stranded on the Suwehan beach, Nusa Penida.

"At around 07.45 WITA the target was found with no clothes on, his body was swollen," he added.

The body was then evacuated and immediately taken to Gema Santi Hospital using an ambulance.
