JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta-Solo KRL will be operated again for 24 trips per day from Monday (9/5) to Friday (13/5). This is because the Eid holiday has ended and the number of passengers has decreased.

"From the previous 30 trips a day, this week we will run 24 trips every day," said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba in a release in Yogyakarta, Monday, May 9, quoted by Antara.

The number of Yogyakarta-Solo KRL trips this week is still more than the travel schedule before the Lebaran holiday period, which is 20 trips per day.

On the last day of the Idul Fitri holiday, Sunday (8/5), the volume of passengers using the Yogyakarta-Solo KRL as of 19.00 WIB was recorded at 14,450 people or decreased by about 20 percent compared to the same period on Saturday (7/5) as many as 18,080 passengers.

The decrease in passenger volume can also be seen from data at Yogyakarta Station, which is around 29 percent from the previous 6,530 passengers on Saturday (7/5) until 19.00 WIB to 4,658 passengers on Sunday (8/5).

Similar conditions were also seen at Solo Balapan Station, although the decline was not significant, namely nine percent to 3,547 passengers.

Meanwhile, the total volume of passengers on Saturday (7/5) out of 30 Yogyakarta-Solo KRL trips was recorded at 21,483 people.

During the Lebaran Transportation period on April 22-7 May, the total volume of passengers for the Yogyakarta-Solo KRL was recorded at 196,195 passengers or an average of 12,262 passengers per day.

As for the local Prambanan Express train, the number of users on Sunday (8/5) until 19.00 WIB was recorded as 2,521 passengers.

The highest number of passengers departed from Yogyakarta Station with 1,158 passengers. Meanwhile, for several other stations, such as Kutoarjo and Jenar, there were 997 passengers and 231 passengers, respectively.
