JAKARTA - The return flow of Eid or traffic flow from Java to Jakarta on the arterial road in Karawang Regency, West Java, was badly congested on Sunday, May 8 in the afternoon until late at night.

The long traffic jam on the Karawang arterial road occurred on the route to Jakarta, from entering the Purwasari-Kosambi-Klari area to entering the Karawang By Pass Ring Road.

Along the Karawang arterial road, it is dominated by travelers who use motorbikes.

Homecoming travelers on motorbikes heading to Jakarta swarmed and controlled the Karawang arterial road.

"From the Pantura route to the Jomin intersection, the vehicles are already very congested," said Eko, a traveler from Brebes who was going to Tangerang, quoted from ANTARA.

He conveyed, after entering the Cikampek area, the traffic flow was getting denser until there was a traffic jam.

"We are stuck in traffic, if I'm not mistaken since entering the Cikampek area," he said while resting at a Klari Karawang gas station.

Meanwhile, traffic jams also occurred on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road from Sunday afternoon to evening, at the meeting point of the traffic flow from Cipali Toll Road and Cipularang Toll Road.

With the shortening of the one-way end point at KM 72 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, road users heading towards Bandung and its surroundings can use the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and continue their journey via the Cipularang Toll Road.

As for road users heading towards Cikampek, Cirebon and Central Java, road users can access the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek and exit through the Cikampek Toll Gate at KM 72 or via Cipularang Toll Road and continue the journey via non-toll roads.
