One Way Extension To Clover As A Last Option To Unravel Congestion

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya said that the extension of the route of the one-way or one-way scheme from the Kalikangkung toll road KM 414 to Semanggi, Jakarta, was the last plan to unravel the backflow congestion for Lebaran 2022. The current scheme is already running quite well.

"Of course extending the one way to Semanggi is the last option, but the scheme exists, we have planned it," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters at KM 3+500, Saturday, May 7.

With the conditions and schemes currently being implemented, Sambodo also said that the plan was deemed unnecessary.

The reason is, with the contraflow scheme starting from KM 3+500 to the Cibitung Toll Gate (GT) traffic flow on toll roads and arterial roads is still monitored smoothly.

"If we look at this (condition, ed) of course I think it's an option that is not necessary, but we are ready," he said.

"But with what we have now, with contraflow and one way, I think it's good enough to accommodate the current from Cikampek," said Sambodo.
