Cipali Toll Road Rest Area Crowded With Visitors, Officers Implement Open Close System

CIPALI - Officers implemented a system of opening and closing the rest area on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road to avoid traffic jams at the point leading up to the rest area.

General Manager of Operations for Astra Cipali Toll Road, Suyitno, in his statement, said that traffic congestion occurred before the rest area.

For this, his party together with the police implemented a system of opening and closing the rest area. The closure of the rest area is carried out if the condition is no longer able to accommodate vehicles.

Suyitno appealed to road users to rest at the next rest area if it was closed, or exit at the nearest toll gate.

"We urge road users to obey the applicable rules, not stop at the shoulder of the road or cut the road at the median," said Suyitno, quoting Antara, Saturday, May 7.

It was reported on Saturday that the return flow of D+4 Lebaran 2022 on the Cipali Toll Road was observed to be quite busy in the midst of the one-way implementation. Vehicles that pass are still dominated by private vehicles.

The one way application was carried out at the discretion of the police and was still in effect until Saturday afternoon.

On Saturday, the number of vehicles passing at the Palimanan Toll Gate heading west was 38,337 vehicles. Meanwhile, on Friday, May 6, there were 122,346 vehicles crossing the Cipali toll road.
