JAKARTA - To avoid the crime of stealing empty houses that are left by their owners to return home, a number of police personnel from the Kota Baru sector, Jambi have checked and patrolled residents' housing.

The Head of Kotabaru Police, Kompol Dhadhag Anindito said that since the Eid holiday, his party had carried out patrols to a number of housing estates, such as housing in Kenali Asam Bawah, Kotabaru, Jambi City.

One by one, the residents' houses were checked and seen their condition. After making sure the conditions were safe, members of the Police moved back to a number of other points.

"We are making this effort to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community when leaving their homes during the Eid homecoming moment. Especially after a number of people who are carrying out going home contact the police to monitor security while traveling," said Dhadhag, quoting Antara, Saturday, May 7.

These activities are routinely carried out through the Pam Post, Yan Post and Integrated Posts in the 2022 Ketupat Operation, in residential areas left by homecomers.

The police chief appealed to people who want to leave their homes while carrying out their homecoming, to immediately contact the Polsek and Polres to ensure conditions are safe.

"Please provide your identity, then information on your departure schedule and when it's time to return. And don't forget before leaving the house, please turn off the electricity and stove," said Kompol Dhadhag.

So far, said Dhadhag, there have been a number of residents who have come to the Sector Police to leave their homes, so that they can be monitored by officers.
