JAKARTA - Hundreds of Bedouin residents in the interior of Lebak Regency, Banten tonight held a Seba ritual at the Lebak Regency Government Hall building.

"We hope that the 2022 Seba Bedouin ritual will run smoothly," said Head of the Lebak Regency Tourism and Culture Office, Imam Rismahayadin, as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.

The Seba Bedouin ritual was carried out at 20.00 WIB which was attended by regional heads, officials and tourists.

The celebration of the Seba Bedouin ritual is a Bedouin tradition to visit the Regent of Lebak and officials as government officials.

A Bedouin traditional leader who is also the Head of Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Jaro Saija, said that this year's Seba ritual was held due to the pandemic transition period, attended by 158 people and 23 of them were Inner Badui who wore all-white clothes and pants and lomar.

They are the Inner Badui people on foot to Rangkasbitung by traveling along 40 kilometers or about seven hours.

"We hope that this year's Seba can bring blessings to the Bedouin community as well as soon Indonesia will be free from the COVID-19 pandemic," he explained.

Meanwhile, a number of Inner Badui people said they were happy to be able to carry out the Seba ritual which was centered in the Lebak Regency Government Hall building.
