BATANG - The Batang Police, Central Java, has implemented a traffic engineering system for opening and closing travelers who will rest in the "rest area" KM 379 A and 360 B of the Batang-Semarang toll road.

"There are two 'rest areas', 360 B and 379 A. We carry out traffic engineering, namely opening and closing the 'rest area' when it is full and there is no parking space," said Batang Traffic Police Head AKP Dhayita Dhaneswari quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6

Homecomers are asked to make the best use of the time possible by not taking too long while in the two "rest areas", both for resting and refueling vehicles.

"Currently, there has been a backflow density, but it is still being monitored smoothly. However, we remind travelers to drive to be disciplined so that traffic flows smoothly and safely," he said.

AKP Dhayita said the National Police would implement a one-way system on the Transjawa Toll Road to an undetermined limit.

Homecomers from Batang Regency who will go to Jakarta can use the Kalibeluk and Kandeman toll gates, while road users from Jakarta can use the arterial route.

"For travelers from Semarang who will exit the Kandeman and Kalibeluk toll exits heading to Batang City, it is hoped that they will be on line B because if they are on line A, there will be no access to the exit of the Kandeman and Kalibeluk toll roads," he said.

AKP Dhayita also reminded motorists to maintain a stable speed while driving and if they feel tired they can rest in the prepared "rest area".

"We estimate that the peak of the backflow will occur on May 7-8. But the important thing is to keep your health while driving and not to force yourself to continue the journey if your body is tired," he said.
