Officially Formed, These Are The Names Of The IKN Transition Team Members And Their Duties

JAKARTA - The transition team to support the preparation for the relocation of the State Capital (IKN) has been officially formed.

This formation was based on the Decree of the Minister of State Secretary (Kepmensesneg) Number 105 of 2022 concerning the Transition Team to Support the Preparation, Development, and Relocation of the State Capital.

In the Kepmensesneg, the process of moving the capital city will be led by the Head of the Nusantara IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono. The decree was signed by the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno on April 28.

"In order to support the smoothness and acceleration of the preparation, development, and relocation of the State Capital, a Transition Team to Support the Preparation, Development and Relocation of the State Capital has been formed, hereinafter referred to as the Transition Team," reads Article 1 of the Ministry of State Secretariat quoted on Friday, May 6.

This Ministerial Decree also explains what the tasks of this transition team are. In Article 3 it is explained that the team is tasked with consolidating the implementation of programs or activities carried out by ministries/agencies and the Nusantara IKN Authority in the context of preparation, development, and relocation of the National Capital.

In addition, they are also tasked with facilitating the follow-up to the President's directives or policies to expedite and accelerate the preparation, construction, and relocation of the nation's capital city.

"To provide facilities for synchronizing activities of planning, implementation, and supervision of the preparation, development and relocation of the State Capital," reads Article 3 paragraph c.

Next, the team is also tasked with providing input on steps to resolve problems and obstacles in the preparation for moving the country's capital city.

Furthermore, this team is tasked with assisting in the preparation and planning of, but not limited to, regulatory arrangements, handling legal issues, and cooperation between the Archipelago Capital Authority and other parties.

Then manage data and information related to the implementation of preparations for the relocation of the state capital. "Monitoring and evaluating the progress of preparation, construction, and relocation of the State Capital."

Finally, the team is tasked with preparing technical reporting and accountability for preparations for moving the state capital.

"Other tasks are to ensure the realization of the preparation, development, and relocation of the State Capital in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations," reads Article 3 paragraph i.
