Operation Ketupat: As Of May 4th, The Trend Of Disturbances In Kamtibmas Increases By 20.8 Percent

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Hendra Rochmawan, provided a daily update on the Ketupat Operation on May 4, regarding the latest Kamtibmas situation in all regions in Indonesia in the last 24 hours.

Regarding the disruption of Public Order and Security (Kamtibmas), Hendra said there was an increase in quantity of 113 cases or an increase of approximately 20.8 percent.

The details are 659 cases of criminal disturbance, 21 cases of minor criminal offenses, one disaster incident, and 12 other disturbances.

"Of these cases, there is a trend of 641 conventional crimes, 17 transnational cases, one case against state assets, and zero contingency crimes," he said.

Hendra also added that the trend of crime during Operation Ketupat 2022 in quantity increased by 122 cases, or approximately 22.27 percent.

On Tuesday, May 3, there were 530 cases recorded. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, May 4, there were 659 cases.

In addition, Hendra also shared the situation of Kamtibmas for traffic. "There are several roads that we can monitor. First, the volume of traffic leaving Jakarta through the main Cikampek toll gate towards Trans Java has decreased by 31 percent. Meanwhile, for those entering Jakarta through the main Cikampek gate towards Trans Java, it has increased by 68 percent, " he explained.

Furthermore, the volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta via the main Kaliurik toll road to Bandung decreased by 16 percent, and traffic entering Jakarta via the main Kaliurik toll road to Bandung increased by 32 percent.

The volume out of Jakarta via the Cikupa toll road in the direction of Merak increased by 17 percent. Meanwhile, traffic entering Jakarta increased by 20 percent.

"Traffic out of Jakarta through the Ciawi toll gate towards Puncak has decreased by 16 percent, and the volume of traffic entering Jakarta from the Ciawi toll gate towards Puncak has increased by 13 percent," he continued regarding the 2022 Ketupat Operation data.
