TABANAN - The news of the kidnapping and rape of a female victim with the initials DAT (19) from Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, seems to have been engineered by the victim herself.

Tabanan Police Chief AKBP Ranefli Dian Candra said the victim fabricated a story that seemed as if she was kidnapped and three perpetrators would rape her.

"That's the engineering concerned. For now, we cannot stand the person concerned, we are still looking at his psychological state. Those involved in the household live in an environment where the family seems we need to pay attention too. But we still explore what the motivation. Because he is afraid to come home at night," said AKBP Ranefli, Wednesday, May 4.

DAT admitted that he fabricated the story that he was kidnapped because he was afraid of his husband and family. The reason is that DAT comes home early at around 03.00 WITA.

"The story was fabricated, because she was out with her male partner and until 3 am, so she was afraid to go home looking for stories or excuses, so her husband wouldn't be angry," she added.

"We are still investigating (whether the person concerned is cheating). Because he himself includes family, in-laws and all sorts of things, we are having a bit of a hard time getting information, so we need a special approach to open this story.

It was confirmed that there were no kidnappers. Previously, the police had arrested the man with the initials GA, who was accused of being the perpetrator. Later the kidnapping was just a hoax.

"Because it was a fabrication, not all (the three actors) were there. So from the start he was changing because he was compiling stories. At first he said no, last night we looked into it again because there were irregularities, how come three people, what did one person do, oh only one person, he said," said AKBP Ranefli.

Although DAT fabricated the kidnapping incident, the police continued to carry out the process to find out the truth of the story because DAT often gave different information.

"The process is still, but we can't stand it. We have BAP and we are conducting an examination. As for the others, we can't talk much. And we need to provide assistance to those concerned," he said.

In addition, it was emphasized that DAT did not have a mental disorder, only needed psychological treatment.

"It's not a mental disorder. He has a broken home from childhood, his parents separated, he was raised by his step-grandfather but later we will (check) first because there are stories that have not been fixed which we are taking information from. But for sure, yesterday's news was kidnapping, not true, " said AKBP Ranefli.
