JAKARTA - The charm of Tawangmangu tourism is always captivating. The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, even said that the tourism potential on the slopes of Mount Lawu was extraordinary and interesting.

Ganjar, who was born and had a childhood in Tawangmangu, certainly knows the area very well. This Eid, Ganjar returns to reminiscing about his hometown.

Ganjar took the time to run while visiting several tourist attractions around Tawangmangu. Among them The Lawu Park and Sakura Hills. Along the way, Ganjar seemed to really enjoy the beautiful atmosphere on the slopes of Mount Lawu.

At each location, Ganjar also asked the readiness of tourist attractions in the face of a surge in visitors, which is expected to occur from the second day of Eid.

"How is it, it's starting to get crowded? It's well prepared, health protocols are also maintained," said Ganjar while at The Lawu Park, as in a written statement, Wednesday, May 4.

Meanwhile, while in Sakura Hills, Ganjar had time to see tourist attractions that presented a Japanese atmosphere. He walked every corner of Sakura Hills with his wife, Siti Atikoh. Including walking along the bamboo bridge to the lodge, which is right on the slope with a view of the peak of Lawu.

"We are in Sakura Hills, right on the slopes of Mount Lawu. Just look at that beautiful mountain view. There are also lodging places around 24 cottages and more will be added," said Ganjar, while touring the Sakura Hills, accompanied by the Head of Tawangmangu.

Of the two tourist attractions visited, it proves what Ganjar said about the charm and great tourism potential in Tawangmangu.

“The tourism potential is extraordinary. In the past, tourism was only in Grojogan Sewu, camping, Balekambang, now it is everywhere. But it's a very beautiful place, hilly. Lawu's slopes are indeed interesting," said Ganjar.

However, Ganjar still reminds residents and managers of tourist attractions to keep the environment. Including the forest area on the slopes of Mount Lawu.

“So fast, the forest gradation is quite high, so it is important to carry out controls. As I said (last night), the hills were still dense forests, and it was very cold here,” said Ganjar.
