JAKARTA - The Governor of East Java (East Java) Khofifah Indar Parawansa peeled the Pasir Kelud 1 (PK-1) pineapple which is a local horticultural product. The pineapple was given specifically to the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP, Prabowo Subianto.

This moment was presented when Khofifah received a visit from Prabowo to visit the Grahadi State Building, Surabaya, Tuesday (3/5) night.

“Mrs. Khofifah exhibited horticultural agricultural products, one of which was pineapple. In fact, Ms. Khofifah did the peeling herself and then gave it to Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Secretary General Ahmad Muzani," said Chairman of the East Java Gerindra Party DPD Anwar Sadad confirmed in Surabaya, Wednesday morning, May 4.

Pineapple type Pasir Kelud 1 is a product of farmers at the foot of Mount Kelud, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency. The special thing is that there are very few pineapple seeds, the skin is not too prickly and the way of slicing it is like peeling a melon.

"It is recognized that horticultural products have high economic value, and the market can reach overseas. It tastes good, sweet," said Anwar Sadad, who accompanied Prabowo as quoted by Antara.

The meeting between Khofifah and Prabowo, which was attended by party officials at the central and some regional levels, was held behind closed doors.

In addition, Khofifah also briefly took Prabowo around the Grahadi Park, as well as seeing the beauty of the Kali Mas River in Surabaya, which is just behind the Dutch state building.

“Pak Prabowo said as in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The problem is that it directly faces the river,” said the politician whose name is also a candidate for governor of East Java.

When asked about the chance for a presidential and vice presidential candidate between the two, Anwar Sadad refused because he admitted that there was no discussion about the 2024 Simultaneous General Election.

He emphasized that there was no discussion on political issues, because the theme was friendship and exchanging views on the Indonesian nation.

"It can't be directed there because the atmosphere of the meeting is very fluid. Purely discussing about the nation and about agriculture, there are no politics," said the deputy chairman of the East Java DPRD.
