JAKARTA - The Bekasi City Government, West Java, has instructed all RT/RW devices to actively register migrants in their area after Lebaran 2022 to anticipate the flow of urbanization.

"Regional governments certainly carry out monitoring by involving the active role of RT/RW apparatus assisted by the Pamor Task Force which we place in each RW so that coordination will be more optimal," said Acting Mayor of Bekasi Tri Adhianto in Bekasi, Tuesday.

He asked that the implementation of data collection for new residents later also be accompanied by socialization regarding compliance with population administration.

"Including that, we will optimize the role of Bhabinkamtibmas with Babinsa to conduct coaching and socialization," he said.

Tri hopes that cross-line coordination can be established between RT/RW administrators and assistant officers with apparatus at the village and sub-district levels so that data collection activities run optimally.

"People who attend 1x24 hours later are expected to report themselves to government officials starting from the smallest RT/RW, then to the apparatus in the village and sub-district," he said.

Tri appealed to the newcomers to have special skills when deciding to try their luck in Bekasi City.
