JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) noted that the number of recovered COVID-19 cases in Indonesia increased by 395 people on Wednesday, May 3. The total number to date is 5,884,059 people.

Based on data from the COVID-19 Handling Task Force received in Jakarta today, West Java Province contributed the most additional COVID-19 recovered cases, namely 136 people. Then followed by DKI Jakarta (124), Central Java (16) and East Java (14).

Nationally, positive cases of COVID-19 increased by 107 people, bringing the total to 6,047,315 so far. DKI Jakarta contributed the most additional positive COVID-19 cases, 40 people. Then, followed by West Java (18), Bali (15) and East Java eight people.

Meanwhile, 18 people died from COVID-19 in the country, bringing the total so far to 156,305, with Central Java contributing the most additional cases, 10 people.

Thus, active cases in Indonesia have decreased by 306 people, bringing the total number to 6,951 people so far.

The task force recorded 986 people with suspected COVID-19 status, and 46,778 specimens had been examined as of today.

The Task Force appealed to the public to be disciplined in implementing health protocols, which include wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and reducing mobility.
