Has Potential Danger With High Waves, Bengkulu Police Urges Residents Not To Bathe On The Beach

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Police, Inspector General Agung Wicaksono, appealed to the public who visited the coastal tourist area in Bengkulu City not to bathe.

This is done considering that several points in the area are quite dangerous, having high waves. "We appeal to people who want to bathe in the Long Beach area not to go too far into the water", said Wicaksono in Bengkulu, Antara, Tuesday, May 3.

The appeal was conveyed because his party cannot prohibit people from bathing on the beach. After all, the number of visitors is quite large. His party can only urge and anticipate the public not to bathe, using security around the beach area.

Bengkulu Governor, Rohidin Mersyah, also reminded the public to strictly comply with the advice from the government for security, because there are several points in Bengkulu's coastal area that are vulnerable and are not allowed to bathe.

"And for areas that are allowed to bathe, people are asked to bathe on the beach", he said.

Meanwhile, for people who use tourist equipment such as boats and others when visiting tourist attractions, they should adjust their capacity and check the feasibility of the equipment so that unwanted things do not happen.
