The Bogor Peak Path Is Predicted To Be Crowded On The Second Day Of Eid Tomorrow

BOGOR - Bogor Resort Police (Polres), West Java, predicts traffic flow on the Puncak Line, Bogor Regency, will be congested on the second day of Eid 2022.

"The trend itself is on the Puncak Line as a tourist destination, so that the volume flow increases on the second day of Eid 2022," said Head of the Bogor Resort Police Traffic Unit, AKP Dicky Anggi Pranata when quoted by Antara, Monday, May 2.

According to him, the connecting route between Bogor Regency and Cianjur Regency is not widely used as a homecoming route, but a tourist route for the 2022 Eid holiday.

"Currently there is a policy from the government regarding the 'one way' route on the Cikampek to Java route which will definitely have an impact here, so we are still keeping personnel on standby," explained Dicky.

During the Ketupat Operation which was carried out to secure the homecoming, backflow, and Lebaran 2022 holidays, the Bogor Police and related agencies deployed 2,000 personnel to be on standby throughout the Bogor area.

Meanwhile, KBO Satlantas Polres Bogor Iptu Ketut Laswarjana said that his party did not apply traffic engineering, either a one-way system or an odd-even system on the Peak Line on the first day of Eid 2022.

"Because many people in the Puncak area stay in touch, so today we prioritize local people who carry out friendships with their respective families in the Puncak area," he said.

Ketut explained that the Bogor Resort Police plans to implement an odd-even system on the second day of Eid 2022. An odd-even check of vehicle number plates will be carried out at Simpang Gadog, Ciawi, Bogor.

"We see an increase in the flow of vehicles, tomorrow morning we will apply again odd-even for vehicles going to the Puncak area. The implementation starts in the morning," explained Ketut.
