Puan Maharani Alludes To Handsome Capital Presidential Candidate, PDIP Denies There Is Mutual Insinuation Between Cadres

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto denied that there had been mutual insinuations within his party. He made sure this couldn't happen.

This was conveyed by him in response to the statement of the chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani who asked that residents not just choose a leader. Puan once asked her cadres to choose a person who wants to work together to build the nation.

According to Hasto, what Puan said was not to insinuate other cadres who are predicted to be presidential candidates (candidates) in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"There are no innuendos, let alone internal ones," Hasto told reporters at the residence of PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, May 2.

Hasto said that what Puan conveyed was the aspirations of the community that he got when he went to the field.

Therefore, it is important for cadres to choose presidential and deputy candidates who can represent Indonesia in order to raise the dignity of the people by building leadership.

"Once again, it is to respond directly to the aspirations of the people, especially since we know that some time ago there were problems related to cooking oil and so on. But we also know that President Jokowi has taken a policy to help the people," he said.

As previously reported, Puan's statement asking residents not to vote for a 'handsome' leader has been in the spotlight. Initially, Puan reminded the cadres to choose someone who would work together to build the nation.

"I ask that you return to your Indonesian roots. Choose people who really love Indonesia, support people who really want to work together to build this nation together," said Puan when giving a speech in front of the Wonogiri DPC, Tuesday, April 26 .

The reason, said Puan, is because nowadays people prefer leaders who look handsome and often appear on social media. But, once told to serve the people, he couldn't.

"Why am I saying this? Sometimes now we like 'yo wes he's just handsome, he's the only one that's chosen as long as he's not a woman, yo wes he's just not an iso opo-opo but the important thing is that he's on social media, on social media. TV is fun, but then you can't work, you're not close to the people," said the chairman of the PDIP DPP.

Puan then asked the cadres whether to choose a character with these criteria. The bull cadres were not willing to be led by such a person.

"Do you want such a leader or not?" asked Mrs.

"No," answered the PDIP cadres.

Puan also ordered her cadres in Wonogiri to choose leaders who would help and fight for the needs of the community. Puan said, don't just choose a leader who only likes to look for the stage.

"Don't then just choose because we only see it on the stage, the stage is the media stage, TV stage, social media stage, but choose people who have truly fought for us, have been with us, have worked together with us. Agree or not?" said Mrs.

"Agreed," replied the cadres again.
