JAKARTA - Denmark will reopen its embassy in Ukraine on Monday after it was closed due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, the Danish foreign ministry said.

"It is a very strong symbol of Denmark's support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people that today we will reopen the doors of the Danish embassy," Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod told Danish media DR.

A number of other countries, such as France, the United States and the United Kingdom, recently announced that they were moving embassies again to Kiev.

Moscow says its presence in Ukraine is a "special military operation" aimed at weakening its neighboring country's military might.
