SUMUT - As many as 14 people with disabilities from eight sub-districts in Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, received assistance with prosthetic limbs from the Social Rehabilitation Center for Bina Daksa Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta.

The prosthetic limbs were handed over directly by the Regent of Dairi Eddy Keleng Ate Berutu accompanied by the Head of the Social Service Office of Dairi Anggara Sinurat and witnessed by the official of the Bina Daksa Social Rehabilitation Center Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta via Zoom Meeting.

Dairi Regent Eddy Keleng Ate Berutu said, today is the day that people with disabilities have been waiting for because they will receive prosthetic limbs so they can carry out activities as usual even though they are not perfect.

"Therefore, the Dairi Regency Government is here to try to help people with disabilities to get equal rights so that they can play a role in advancing Dairi Regency through the superior role of people with disabilities," he said in Sidikalang, Antara, Sunday, May 2.

He hoped that the important role of the Social Service was to encourage people with disabilities to express their talents and abilities.
