Overcome Traffic Congestion, Police Implement Contraflow System At KM 40 - 70

JAKARTA - Head of the Operations Section of the Korlantas Polri, Kombes Eddy Djunaedi said that for the toll road from Jakarta to the east, a one-lane contraflow system was applied from KM 40-70 as of 22.00 WIB. The goal is to prevent traffic jams if there is an increase in vehicle volume.

"Contraflow 1 Line starts at 22.00 KM 47 to KM 70," said Eddy in his statement, Saturday, April 30.

He added that the one-way implementation on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road starts from KM 70 to the Kalikangkung Toll Gate at KM 414. However, if later the volume of vehicles increases, then his party will apply one-way from KM 47 to 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate.

"If the current increases, we will carry out a one-way operation from km 47 to KM 414 GT Kalikangkung," he said.

As previously reported, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk supports the Police's discretion in engineering one-way traffic, which is currently being extended from Km 70 GT Cikampek Utama toll road Jakarta-Cikampek to Km 442 Interchange (SS) Bawen Semarang Toll Road -Solo. This engineering has been going on since 13.40 WIB.

"Previously, one way was implemented up to Km 414 GT Kalikangkung, Batang-Semarang Toll Road," said Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru in a written statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 30.
